Pinnochio, Mr Shima's boat (Japan)

It is a well sympathetic story which I will tell you gradually!
I received one day, a few times after Rétronautique in Enghiens, an English e-mail, signed of a name with Japanese consonance, which required of me how to get in touch with the owner of Mike, the wonderful small steamboat of Michel.
One of these friends to Japan, Mr. Shima, very famous pop star having model making like passion, was building a small steamboat of the same size that Mike, and was looking for contacts that could help him.
Or that becomes really astonishing is that the person who sent this e-mail to me is based in the USA, that it had had the adress of my blog by a new zeeland forum of steamboating , to put in contact a Japanese steamboat builder, with another French steamboat builder!!!
Quite sympathetic like helps around the world!
The contact was organized between Michel and Mr. Shima, and I was maintained with the current of the continuation adventures that I would tell you!

Here already some photographs of Pinnochio, and some details on its equipment.
The hull, which I suppose, was bought already finished, is a pretty clinker hull of 2,8m length, it must be equipped with Stuart N°1 and his boiler.

Talents of model maker of Mr. Shima

Courend'ère Sylvere's boat

October 2nd

Thierry good evening,
As promised, here some photographs of my steam oven. You will be able to notice that construction is enough simple.
A steam generator fish knife of wallpaper found in a secondhand trade for a few euros and given in operating condition; a tube sheet galva. 16.5 cm in diameter; a grid carries cables inside the tube; some iron ends.
At the time of its installation for its use, the tube will be blocked up using glass wool.
I forgot to speak about an element essential to the correct operation of the drying oven, the bag of jute which will be humidified in order to confine the vapor.

Greetings,
Sylvère

October 1: Message of Sylvère

Hello you all,

That made a few times already that I wanted to give you news on the advance of the construction of Courend'ère. Since spring, all my spare time it passed in my workshop so that the hull of Courend'ère is quite advanced and that its reversal take place in September.
As you will be able to note it by viewing the few photographs attached, the objective that I had been given was achieved.

Now, I work on the sandpapering of the hull before the installation of the bent frames.
I supplied myself boards of acacia, rivets coppers and the drying oven with vapor is ready.
I soon will update the site of Courend'ère, the address will change.
I will communicate the infos at the appropriate time to you.

Greetings,

Sylvère.
